„Museum for Everyone“
The Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen strive to make exhibitions, museum buildings and programs accessible to everyone.
Three designated parking spaces for people with disabilities are located between Rathaus E5 and quadrate E4. Only one of them is accessible at the moment because of construction at city hall. The distance to the museum complex is around 100 meters. Another parking lot is located between quadrates D4 and D5.
The first lower level of the parking garage underneath the World Cultures Museum D5 has two parking spaces for people with disabilities and can be exited by elevator (0.90 m x 1.40 m). Use the west exit. The doors do not open automatically.
Be aware that you have to take at least two stairs when leaving the second lower level.
A carer entered in the disability identification card (code B or H) receives free admission (in addition to a guide dog if necessary).
All restrooms in the facilities of the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen are wheelchair accessible.
The Museum Zeughaus, Museum Weltkulturen and Museum Bassermannhaus are fully accessible for wheelchair users and other visitors unable to climb stairs. All three museums have wheelchair accessible elevators.
Will the museum continue to provide wheelchairs and rollators?
- No. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide this service at present. Please bring your own wheelchair or rollator with you.
Guide dogs: Guide dogs are welcome in exhibitions at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen.
